At what age do you start professional teeth cleaning at the vet's? And how often? IP: Logged |

This is a matter only you and your vet can decide as all vets say different along with vaccinations and worming each owner and vet is different in there practice and what is the best time to do anything for the pet. mike IP: Logged |

I agree with Charmedagain. My vet generally recommends a cleaning at 5yrs of age but if the animal's teeth are really bad she may recommend it sooner or if it is not neccessary still at 5yrs of age she will say so. Two of my pets have passed 5yrs of age and neither of them have needed (in my vets opinion) a professional cleaning yet. [This message has been edited by nern (edited 01-25-2004).] IP: Logged |
