I just bought a dane pup and will b picking her up in 3 weeks and was wondering if anyone can tell me what I should feed her and how often. I have never had a dog that was going to grow to b bigger then my wife. I want the best for her and don't want to feed her crap. Thanks. IP: Logged |

Hi there I breed and raise Danes. I feed all my dogs the Eagle brand. I know that alot of breeders will say dont feed pup food and I do agree but I give 3/4 Adult and 1/4 pup. I belive they need the extra fat and stuff to help with growing. Sometimes I will mix in alittle chicken, eggs and wet food about 2 times a week. My female is preggo and I give her the same plus veal once a week. When she is into her 7 week I will feed her 1/2 adult and 1/2 puppy. I think that is best. IP: Logged |

Definately check out this site: http://greatdanelady.com/articles/puppy_feed_program_and_guidelines.htm This dane breeder/canine nutrition consultant also seems to highly recommend Eagle Pack foods. IP: Logged |
