my dog forrest is very upset when i lock him up in the kitchen before i go to school! Ringo always keeps him company, and ringo doesn't seem to mind, but forrest gets all crazy and upset. he never had to spend a lot of time in a closed off area until these past 2 years. He is 8 now, but it seems he was much happier when he was locked in the bathroom, whic is much smaller!!?!?!?! i don't understand that! we put their beds in there, water, some food, a toy or two, a greenie for each of them, but nothing helps.
In the spring, or on days where it is just right, not too hot or cold, he and ringo stay outside in our fenced in back yard (about 2.5 acres) and he is fine then, so what can i do for my baby to be more comfy?

Hi! How long is he locked up? Maybe he's upset right before you leave, but once your gone, he's o.k. You said he has a playmate right! and you give him something to chew on as well as water and food, I'm guessing, there's not really much more you could do. Perhaps someone here will be able to help you more than i could.

P.S. Mike had suggested for my dog, that you put a piece of clothing or blanket with your sent on it with him. Maybe that would help.

Good luck! Susan
