got a message the lumps are benign. Whew, what a scare, but now a sigh of relief! They are called limpoma. they want to watch to make sure they dont turn cancerous and I need to watch the ones close to his armpits to make sure they dont become bothersome when he walks and need to be removed, so I need to actually need to talk to the vet and the rest of coarse of action

Know you are releived. It's always a scare. My old Jake went through several operations during his life besides the big bloat operation. One was to remove a wart growth from his lip, another for an ear hematoma, another to remove a dark wart from his tummy. I used to joke with him that if they cut away anymore dog I won't have anything left. He lived to be a grand old man of almost fifteen.

Great news, Honeybear!

Does anyone know what causes these fatty tumors?
