I noticed my westie's face was swelling today, I think she got a bee sting, I gave her a childrens benadryl about 3 hours ago, the swelling is alittle better but still there, how often should I give her the benadryl and is there any thing else I should be doing. She weighs 18 1/2 pounds, I gave her 1 childs tablet. Thanks for any help. IP: Logged |

I've used this site before and I like their little chart. It says up to 2mg per pound every 8 hours. http://www.decacs.com/decacs_ae/medical-1.htm#House%20Hold IP: Logged |

Benadryl is an antihistamine used in the US,I'm not sure how popular or available it is elsewhere. IP: Logged |
