Honeybear,
Freckles is doing fine but sometimes I think Duke is a bit miffed at him for moving in. They play well but then, when Duke has had enough, Freckles won't stop. I do see Duke adapting slowly to having Freckles. After the first few days Duke seemed to say, "This has been fun but isn't it time for him to go home now?" Then Duke started sulking around us not wanting to take his spot on the couch or play ball. Now after five weeks or so Duke is starting to act his old self again.
Because I believe Freckles would ultimately be happier working on a ranch or farm we are still looking for an ideal ranch home for him. We will all adapt however if we don't find a new home soon. Thanks for asking.

I know what you mean when they have had enough. Wylie is like that when we have other dogs over. They want to play with her and she just doesnt want anything to do with it, she has her frisbee and god forbid if another dog took it, she is a loner player not a group player. That is why if I get another dog, I want one that is older.
