My dogs killed two brown snakes last summer, they both (snakes) received teeth marks in behind the head and are both very very lucky dogs to be alive. I panicked both times because I thought they both had been bitten, but they are still with me today.

I have sinced moved and hope that this summer will not bring any into our yard!!

Gosh Jody, I don't know how you do it. I have read where several of the world's deadliest snakes are there in Austrailia. Great place but the snakes and spiders scare me. Bless your dogs for killing them before the snakes found you first. Good luck with your dogs! Tough little dogs they are!

Yeah, I'm scared to death of Snakes. I never get close enough to see what kinds they are. I just run.

Smokey will grab them and sling them around. Usually he ends up hitting trees and stuff with them or playing tug-o-war with it with Charllotte.

I freek out. I'm always scared they're gonna get bit.
Luckily neither have been bitten....
We try and kill them as soon as we spot them. But you won't catch me sticking around long enough too!!!

YEah I dont hang around to see what the snakes are up to either, whether they are dead or alive.

The very first time i noticed one in the back yard, it was half dead half alive becuase the dogs had bitten and bitten it, if it was anymore alive it would have bit the dogs.

The worst thing about it was, my parents had travelled to Sydney which is around 6 hours away, and my husband was working night shift and wasn't home, we had only just moved into the neighbour hood and I've got two old ladies living on either side of me, and It's not like they could come over with a shovel and kill it.....LOL, so new neighbours had moved in a house down and I ever so kindly asked him if he could come and kill it for me. In which him and his son came and killed it for me.

I did ring my best friends husband to come and kill it and he was no good, he came down with a shovel and wouldn't go anywhere near it.
