Hi all! I had to give my first puppy up today. The way I acted, you would have thought it was my first born! I have cried on and off all day...Not ashamed to admit it..This is hard!!!! I have to go through this three more times. I keep thinking, nobody is going to love them like I do! I know that's nuts! but I can't help it. For those of you that pray, pray for me. Please! This is harder than I thought it would be.

Thanks! Susan

I can Totally relate it is always like giving a kid away lol they are part of the family. But if it bothers you this much I KNOW you have been an EXCELLENT MOMMY 3 cheers for you. I like to have a 1 year b-day party for mine plus we do train here in the park in the warmer months:0)
just an excuse to see them again really.Too many people just take the pup and run without lookng back. Hey people if your breeder wants o keep in touch and help you why not let them.Do you have any pictures?

HI Susan The hard part is parting with them its a little harder when you help them into the world.

All my new owners keep in contact with me and bring the pups back every month or so that way i can see how they getting on and they can see there mum.

It helps seeing them that way i know they are loved and cared for and it makes me smile and feel warm inside knowing they are giving another family years of fun and laughter..

Are you keeping one of the pups yourself, When mitzy has a litter i am thinking of keeping one of hers.

You did a good job with casey she raised a beautiful litter you have also been a great mum to them aswell.

Hang in there, Susuan! You said you are giving them to friends - keep in touch with them and demand pictures as they grow up!

Are you keeping one? If so, which one? Which one did you help Casey deliver?

Hi! I'm sorry it has taken so long to reply, I had a family emergency out of town. My husband said that the new pup is getting very spoiled and is very much loved. That helps! also Joe (the man who got him) said he will bring him by in about a month, so I can see him. Yes! I'm keeping one. The one I helped to deliver, he's one of the short haired pups. Now i have more people than I do puppies to go around! All the begging has begun..hehaheha! But I already know who's getting who, so I've said they're all promised now. I'ts going to work out better than I first hoped. My son and daughter are taking one also, so only one friend will get one. "One big Happy Family" Thanks for the support, it was much needed and appreciated! Susan

It has never gotten any easier for me .I still cry and carry on for days after a puppy leaves .A vet once told me it would get easier as time and litters passed ...Well...it does not ,for me anyway .I am lucky though .I get new picts and cards and letters all the time .Makes my day everyday .I understand .Letting a puppy go to a new home is giving a part of you to another person .That is how I feel anyway .
