Jasper and I have moved in with my parents, and today there was a Pee Wee bird always following Jasper around the back yard. If it was a magpie it would swoop at her because she is constantly being followed by this Pee Wee. It doesn't harm her in anyway it just fly's about a metre over her whenever she goes anywhere. Why is this? Have we taken over this birds teritory in my parents back yard??? When Jasper see's the bird above her she chases it away? WHY WHY WHY is this bird following her.....

PS: As i write this message she is currently chasing it around the back yard!!!!

Jasper barked and barked all night last night because this bird was chasing her around the back yard. If this bird gets to close to her she'll kill it cause she loves to chase birds. However, watching her run around the back yard is funny.

Don't scare me anymore Susan, I think i'll have to sit out and watcher her 24/7 when and if this bird has chicks.....LOL

We had these crazy blue jays that used to do that to our cat. Midas would be laying out sunning themselves and they would hop all around him, well one day, there were 2 that were attacking Midas! Luckily I was home and got him in the house. These birds went beserk, they were pecking at the back door trying to get into Midas think "The birds" I went out back ahwile later and found a baby bird dead, so this must have really pissed off mama bird, but it serves them right for jumping around Midas, then went on for weeks before the attack happened

I just got attacked by them damn pee wee's and Jasper was hiding underneath my car when we came back from a walk. We found out that the pee wee's have babies they are trying to protect and it just so happened that one of the chicks got out of the nest and is sitting on my mums front lawn.

Try getting some protective gear for you head ears eyes and put on some gloves so your scent does not get on the baby bird and put the baby back in the nest. LOL Ok maybe not.

LOL I would love to put the baby bird in the tree, its just a very long long climb to the top where the nest is....... Today or yesterday the pee wee has no longer been seen, so now i wonder if Jasper caught it and killed it :S.......

Pee Wee's are black and white and kinda look like a Magpie but just a little smaller. Magpie's attack, but Pee Wee's normally don't. I think the bird you are talking about is known maybe as a crow/raven over here. They are a big black bird and have blue eyes.....and also chase cats.

I did a quick search and this is them:- http://www.hermes.net.au/ravens/peewee.html
