Is it okay to give Nala a broccoli stem? I know onions are dangerous, but broccoli is fine, right?

I had to look this one up because I recall a link someone had posted about how broccoli was bad. A bunch of sites I visited said that there is potential danger for dogs. Basically they say that you shouldn't feed your dog enough broccoli to make it more than 10% of it's diet. So I think as long as you are giving it to her in moderation no big worries

I think that it is probably fine if you still feed them dog food too and not just "people" food.

My poodle loves all veggies. I give her brocolli often. The stem included. I slice it and refer to it as brocolli chips. She never has any problems with it.

I have never had a problem with my dogs eating any veggies especially broccoli.
They still get there normal foods so they not just getting people food and having german shepherds its hard to find things they like as some shepherds can be very picky when it comes to foods.

I just gave her the whole stem and she shredded it. I don't think she actually ate that much of it - she just used it to decorate the carpet. I bet it was good for her teeth, though.

My boys love raw broccoli, Dooley usually eats it just because Witt is eating it, but Witt and Darby love it.
