can anyone tell me if eating or chewing on the leaves of a christmas cactus is toxic? my six week old lab attacked my plant today thanks

Hi I did a web search on plants poisonous to dogs, some sites had cactus listed. I did find something I didnt even know existed Animal Poison Control- 1-800-548-2423. Maybe they can be of more help. Also your local vets or emergency vet may be able to help you.
