Not sure where the other posts went with all of the recipes, but I found some more that I would like to share with everyone:

PB Puppy Poppers

2c. Whole Wheat Flour
1tbsp. Baking powder
1c. PB (chunky or smooth)
1c. milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

In bowl, combine flour and baking powder. In another bowl, combine pb and milk. Combine dry ingredients with wet and mix thouroughly. Place on a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll into a sheet about 1/4" thick. Cut into small pieces and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 20 Minutes

(NO TITLE)

1c. whole wheat flour
1c. all purpose flour
1/3c. wheat germ
2tbsp. olive oil
1c. beef broth
5tbsp. turkey bacon (cooked to a crisp)
dash of garlic

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Mix flours and wheat germ. Add olive oil, broth, bacon, and garlic powder. Stir until dough forms. Knead on floured board. Roll out dough abou 1/4" thick. Cut and place treats on a lightly greased cookie pan. Bake 30 minutes until golden brown. *IMPORTANT* Let them dry out in the oven for about an hour. Store in a brown paper bag.

Soft Doggie Cookies

3 (2.5 oz.) jars of baby food--beef or chicken
1/4c. dry milk
1/4c. wheat germ or cream of wheat

Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Roll into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and store in refrigerator to keep fresh

Haven't tried any of these but I'll let you know what I think when I do!!

I have made Shug treats twice in the last week.

I made the baby food and wheat germ recipe and I used prunes the second time. Next time it will be carrots. So easy to change up the flavor with all the different kinds of baby food.

SHE LOVED THEM. After the first of the year, I'm going to try MANY different recipes. This is something I want to do on an ongoing basis.

Thanks for all the great recipes and tips...this is a wonderful site, I enjoy so much. It has helped me from the GET GO when I got my dog.

I made up the baby food dog treats and the carrot cookies for the horses over the past week for gifts. I put the dog treats in those snack sized ziplock bags with labels on them for each flavor, put them in a holiday plastic bucket I got at the Dollar tree and attached a recipe card with dog sticker on it and the recipe written out with hints on it with a ribbon. For the horses I did the same thing but I mixed in peppermints with the carrot cookies, and used a horse sticker on the recipe card. I handed out the buckets and everyone loved them, they thought it was a great idea. My dogs loved the horse treats...while I was making them I glanced down at Witt who had been quietly watching me for 30 minutes or better....he had long strands of drool and slobber hanging out of his mouth and a little puddle on the floor...LOL I gave him a couple and wiped his mouth, apparently they got his seal of approval. The carrot cookies for the horses smell wonderful while baking, it's the molasses.
