My 7 month old dog is going thru her first heat cycle and is constantly whinnying. Can someone tell me if this is normal and what it means? My dog is getting spayed the end of this month IP: Logged |

Hi, Maybe she's feeling a little discomfort just as any female is around this time. My girl seemed to be ok but really loved having her belly stroked softly when she was in heat. You could try this to sooth her and make he feel extra special but be causious as her teats may be sensative so she might not appreciate them being touched. If it's been more that a day or 2 I'd see my vet just to check she's otherwise ok and ask what pain releif you could try her on to see if it helped her any. Good luck. IP: Logged |
