Need more information. What kind of dog do you have? Did the odor appear suddenly? Is the odor on his coat?

If he actually did get sprayed by a skunk, there are products you can buy at the pet store to help remove it. Natures Miracle does a good job neutralizing skunk scent.

I heard the tomato juice move does'nt work well w/ dogs, and that it works better for humans (hairless creatures ).

My dogs just recently got fumed w/ skunk funk too!
I just immediately rinsed them down w/ the hose. It helped a lot, but a little bit of it stayed on. It was only left on certain areas of their body. I'm thinking it was the areas that were dierctly hit.
Mann, at first it smelled like a nuclear warfare, NOT skunkiness !!

Ask your Vet what would be the best/safest way.

When Nala was sprayed I called and there is a solution with Baking Soda, Hydrogine Peroxide and Dish soap! Call to get the right amounts of all! It really helped her and got the smell totally out! But then again I washed her with 4 different things!
Good Luck!

I also heard sih soap works well. I think it was Dawn, but I dont know how you would ever get the soap out of the dog
