I would think he would only be able to get it if it was too large, so I think either get him a smaller collar (not too small, you still want to be able to fit one or two fingers in snugly!) or make the one he has smaller. It should solve your problem! If your dog is still catching it even after that, that is one amazing dog! IP: Logged |

What he does is bite the hanging part and then polls it up and gets it stuck in his mouth IP: Logged |

LOL! Silly dog! Yes, I would try a smaller collar. You should be able to get a couple fingers under it when it is fitted properly. Make sure you check it frequently so you can loosen it as he grows.

In addition you could get a Pocket Pal, it is a tag keeper. It slides on their collar and holds their tags so they don't jingle. This way there would be nothing hanging down. His collar should not be loose enough that he can get it in his mouth, if he can do that he might also catch a foot in it...been there, done that..wasn't fun! Also they have slider tags..tags that you engrave name address phone etc on and slide it onto a flat collar, it sits flat and smooth against the collar. These are both around $5 each. I'll post a picture so you can see what the Pocket pal looks like. This is one of my dogs Dooley, the Pocket Pal is green, you can see it on his collar. My other dog has one made by the same company that has a velcro closure and I like it better, it's alos more attractive. They come in different sizes and are inexpensive. IP: Logged |
