This makes me mad, sad, and just plain angry that people can do this to their animals. I got an email with this website. its horrific, check out at your own risk. www.all-creatures.org IP: Logged |

I understand I'm alone on alot of my thoughts... but to me the way cattle, sheep, chickens and anything else bred for consumption are treated is animal cruelty. People get horrorfied and outspoken when they see cute little puppies bundled into crates waiting to be slaughtered and served up as the main course, but to me seeing a cow in a vice is just as bad. This is just how I see things. [This message has been edited by Nik (edited 12-10-2003).] IP: Logged |

Oh I really wish you wouldn't have posted that website, but I had to check it out-- That just makes me sick, it was so horrific to look at some of those pictures of the dogs as they looked into the camera, it just made me think of Cameron and if she were in that situation...I feel so sorry for those dogs (i only looked at the dog pics, after that I had had enough!) Nik, you have a very valid point. What makes a suffering lamb any different from a dog? They are both living breathing mammels, just like us. It's just different for some reason for us because we have dogs as pets, and typically not the other animals, so we don't view them in the same light, but that doesn't justify slaughtering them any more than the dogs. Then I feel so guilty because I am not a vegetarian....are you? IP: Logged |

Puggleowner - I am yes, have been for 20 years now so it's just a way of life. I don't even think about it these days as anyone who knows me just accepts me for who I am and how I chose to live. It's not till something like this comes up I'm reminded of why I live how I do. I got off my soap box about it after my teens so you won't find me getting all moral about anyone elses choices, don't worry lol. IP: Logged |

It's the cruelty of their lives before they are slaughtered that bothers me. Check out this farm, where the animals live happy lives: http://www.flyingdogpress.com/hawkhunt.html
