Well I have already shopped for Wylie and Jake and Wylie gete a stuffed bone and Jake gets 2 rubber balls. Jake is so easy on what he plays with. Over thanksgiving I had kids at the house and pulled out a small rubber basketball about 6" in diameter for them to play with. After they left Jake decided he liked it. It is half deflated and he just loves it. I like to stay away from squea balls, because Jake goes nuts over the sounds and they give me the worse headache. I cant put anything for the dogs under tree until Christmas because Jake can sniff them out and open them. Even the balls that are vacuumed packed. As for Midas the cat I think a new bed. He is not into play toys or catnip. Which reminds I want to bake some dog biscuits

Hello Honeybear!

I to have done a bit of shopping for my Abbey too! I got her stocking, which I will put a KONG, some treats, maybe a greenie, and a ball.
We are also getting her a pillow bed.

I am so excited, it is her first Christmas ever!!!

She is only 6 months....

I got stockings for the cats and Nala, and one for all of the mice. But we aren't going to be with any of them over Christmas so I feel badly! I bet the lady who is boarding Nala would give something to her.

I got Nala a large biscuit and a toy. The cats are getting some new toys and a catnip toy. The mice are getting yogurt treats. Egads! I forgot Berry (short-tailed opossum). It's another trip to the pet store for me!

The sick mouse and maybe Berry will be coming with us, but the others are staying home, except for Nala who will be boarded.

For Duke it has to be tennis balls. I think Labs are born with a tennis ball in their mouth. This is what I see all night while watching TV.

Goo's getting a new stuffy and a bully stick, wrapped of course, since the unwrapping is the funnest part The others will probably each get a bully stick, or something similar.

Dukesdad...I think Duke should get Flyball lessons for Christmas, I think thats what he is trying to tell you!

I'm not sure what my boys are getting yet, I am going Sunday to a Christmas Fundraiser, it's a day of shopping for pets. Proceeds benefit a local Shelter program that trains and certifies therapy dogs for the community.

Witt needs a new coat since he has outgrown his. He also seems to have lost his KONG. Dooley needs more tennis balls and a new Chuck-it since Witt likes to shred the balls and he chewed up the chuck-it. Darby...well, I'll just have to see what is there. Witt also needs a stocking since it's his first Christmas. They all get Greenies, mailman cookies and Old Mother Hubbard treats in their stockings...and we too wrap every single little thing, they love to unwrap!

Something we do every year is to pack up a box of goodies for our shelter. We toss in dog food, usually a comforter thats worn out but still excellent for doggies to snuggle in, a couple towels, I include any meds that my dogs didn't finish throughout the year and toys that I bought for my boys that they didn't care for and never play with. At every dog event we go to we get tons of freebies, dog food samples, toys, treats etc. I save much of it and toss it in the box. My children love delivering the box. Last year the staff let them walk through the kennel and hand out some of the treats we brought.

Kyles!! What a beautiful dog!!

Smokey and Charllottes stockings are up and they know what time of year it is...they go over to them and sniff them every evening! They both got a baggie of pup cookies from the barkary, a new x-mas bandana and some squeeky toys.

Charllotte is getting a new sparkly collar. We got her a hot pink harness so Daddy is getting her a hot pink collar with litty gems on them.

Smokey's harness has just about had it, so we're gonna get him a new Neon Yellow one!

I'll post photos as soon as they get all dresses up.

Ranger is getting frisbees, but I am having difficulty finding those flexible ones! Gracie, well, she isn't into catnip or anything, and doesn't need new beds! I don't know what to do about that! This will be Rangers first Christmas too!

tuttifrutti - Petco has reall nice flexible frisbees. They are made out of cordura nylon. Wylie loves them! and they can even float.

Duke is adorable. Jake my yellow lab must be missing the fetch gene. He doesnt fetch at all which is fine with me since Wylie is the one who loves to fetch.

I still don't know what to get Floob, maybe a harness and a few big empty cardboard boxes... oh ok, I'll probably pop a biscuit in them.

Nik I hear ya on the cardboard boxes. I was trying to wrap gifts alst night and Jake would not leave me alone. I finally had it and gave him a a box the gift came in (which I had no intentions of removing the box, but after he succesfully chewed the end of it. I hope the reciever doesnt want to return it. After that entertained him for about 10 minutes he wanted more so I gave him a roll of wrapping paper. What a mess I had to clean up! but it did keep him entertained

Smokey is the one who is the funniest to watch unwrap gifts....though Charllotte is like "uhhh you want me to do what?"...so smokey usually unwraps hers too!

Though the new cat will probably get some catnip and treats, but he'll end up having more fun with the boxes it comes in than anything. I've never seen a cat who loved to play in boxes as he does.
