Trike dog shakes when she breathes out at night, and sometime during the day. it scares me and i dont know why she does this. she has a breathing promblem i think. and she sometime (very rarely) she does this cough sneeze thing. and it goes on forever. i ask the vet once and he said it could be a reverse sneeze. but he said he didnt want to check because its hard on the dog and that might not even be the problem. any ideas on the shaking thing or anything else in this post?? thanks lotty

Hello. I certainly do not hold a medical degree of any kind, but I would like to offer a possibility, and that would be asthma. One of my cats that I had in my early 20's had asthma and you described it to a T. However, your dog could have something completely different than that. Still, you might want to get it checked out. We gave our kitty prednisone and it worked amazing. Good luck!

Hi! We gave him prednisone on an *as needed* basis and it worked really well. All I did was describe the symptoms to teh vet and he suspected asthma. There were no lab tests performed and I was thankful for that aspect. The prednisone worked right away too. Why not suggest the possibility of asthma to your vet? Its worth a try.

Ps That is sweet that you noticed I was gone. My little girl has been sick with sinusitus and bronchitus, all from allergies, plus our beagle was dealing with kennel cough a nd bronchitus, and then our cat this week came down with an upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitus, and finally my husband has a cold. LOL My 4 year old son and I are the only ones healthy right now. LOL

It;s great to have some *down time* to post again. I missed everyone here.
