I'm was reading through the threads and read about your dear Brutus. I am so sorry for your loss.
If you don't mind me asking - what was Brutus' diagnosis? My Pepita is exhibiting many, if not all, of the same symptoms. White gums, bloated tummy, will not eat - but will drink water, only sleeps. She has been diagnosed with Coccidia.

they treated him for coccidia until i took him back, and then they didn't really diagnose it any further, whatever you do, do not let them put him on an IV, ask about kennel crud, I do BELIEVE that is what brutus had, i am sorry it took so long for me to post. it would be best if they had small frequent amounts of water through the mouth, so it won't send their system into shock, they will not get that at a vts office

No thank you very much for your response. I was giving her fluids through a syringe (pedialyte) and feeding her through a syringe...but I guess it was too late - she passed about 30 mins ago =(

i am so sorry for your loss, i only hope that you can find peace despite the pain. losing brutus was a great shock for me too. just try not to think of pepita as gone, just think of how much better she feels now, everything will be okay in due time.....
