This happened almost 6 years ago and the dog has since passed away from old age, however, I use to watch animal miracles, Like a dog travelling to whole nother city to find it's familly, and think yeah right, that never really happens. But it did and here is the story. Our Dog Maggie a shepperd mix was really well behaved and could walk without a leash and everything. My house it located next to a large bush that leads to a forest. One day we were out for a walk around 5pm and she suddenly ran away without warning for no apparent reason. She didn't come back that night. The next morning she still wasn't there so I took the day off from school and wondered the bush calling her a looking everywhere I could think, still nothing. The following day still showed no results. Missing signs were posted and all vet clinics and animal shelters contacted, still no sign of Maggie. 4 full days after her disappearance the neighbours dog, Sport, who lived across the street and often played with her, also well behaved and no leash required, tore off into the bush and was gone for 5 hours. He remerged with Maggie following him. The neihbour being the only one home at the time gave her water and food and watched her until my mother came home and saw her. After a quick visit to the vet it was determined she was dehydrated but otherwise fine. So their you have it a true animal miracle about two dogs, both friends, well behaved, who tore of into the bush unexpectantly one day. IP: Logged |

I just loved that!!!!! Thanks! I absolutely love hearing or seeing stories like that. If you want to read a great book, you should pick up "HIS MIRACULOUS WAYS" (i think I spelled that wrong) by Readers digest. They have 2 volumes. With both human and animal stories...All true...it's wonderful! Susan IP: Logged |
