My sister just recently got a black lab pup. She says it gets the hiccups all the time (about 2 times in 1hr.) she is wondering if this is okay, or if it could be a symptom for something?! Does anyone know anything about this? I'd appriciate your help.... Julia IP: Logged |

One of my puppies out of our last litter did that for a while. but grew out of it within a day or so. I would call and ask your vet. It could be that he's eating or drinking too fast. IP: Logged |

Poor little thing! I agree with Samsintensions, probably drinking too fast, but if it keeps up, call the vet...Good luck! Susan IP: Logged |

Witt used to get hiccups all the time as a pup too, but he grew out of it. I'm not sure why, but it didn't seem to stop him from playing and eating and all the other normal things pups do. IP: Logged |

We have a 6 month old lab and for the first 3 months or so he had the hiccups all the time. He has grown out of them now...rarely gets them at all anymore.
