Ok now I just thought of something that I need to ask. I keep Nalas water outside and my boyfirend keeps her out most of the day, but when I come home I see it and I know there is no way that she has touched it. SO....I have been giving her water inside at night when I get home and she drinks it all up! Could it be the bowl is dirty or she might not be thristy?! I dont know...Any thoughts?

I think some dogs have where they like to drink. Wylie wont touch the dog water bowl in the house but drinks out of the toilet yuk!. And Jake drinks out of the dog water bowl. When they are outuside they both drink the pool water.

When we got Jasper she wouldn't drink out of her water bowl whether it was inside or outside until we discovered she could see her reflection in the bowl (its was made of tin), so once we changed it over she was fine. Is the Nala's bowl tin or plastic?

Its plastic and blue. Btu I keep it right by my sliding door. Now that I think maybe she does not like the spot it is in?!

My lab also likes to drink from the toilet...i say yuk too but because of it the toilet gets cleaned everyday just to make sure she doesnt get sick...both dogs have a water dish in the dining room but they prefer the toilet..lol..they will drink out of bowl in dining room if i say no to toilet.

Hi Nala, Try moving the bowl to a different spot outside, as long as the bowl stays clean, maybe that would work. If your dog doesn't drink water all day, then guzzle's it down when you get home, than maybe, it's the spot it's in or the bowl it's self. Don't know! but hope this helps! Susan
