Hi Goodboys, I'm sure your dog got the vaccine and all that was supposed to be in it. What clinic did you go to? or what type of clinic? Is it just the price that makes you wary? With my horse, the injection that contains several vaccines is $20 at the feed store. BUT if I want to buy them all separate, they are about $14-$16 each...I can't tell you why, but it's rather maddening! IT is also difficult to find all of them separate. Most people do it all at once still. IP: Logged |

Hi Goodboys, Im pretty sure that your puppers got everything that they needed. Vaccinations are actually alot cheaper than you think. The vets office charges an injection fee. At cost vaccines are only bt 2-5 dollars. The rest is how much it costs for the vet to do the injection. Dont let prices fool you Look at the prices on the single dose (not the bulk) vaccines at revivalanimal.com IP: Logged |

Maisey: Is it just the price that makes you wary? Actually yes for the most part it was. While other animal hospitals charge anywhere from $15.00-$35.00 for just the DHLP combo vaccine, this combo vaccine was DHLP-P&C. Meaning, two more vaccine's that usually are given separately/charged separately.
Anyhow, what's done is done, and i don't plan on thaking my boy in for anymore shots for sometime now... I just read something that someone posted a link to on here, that says that these "titter" tests that Vets are now having available are proving more & more that WE ARE OVER VACCINATING. And that they actually have proof on the parvo shot lasting a minimum of 7 years! Yeah, science is comming through, again & again!! IP: Logged |

I'm all for the all in one vaccinations, but my last puppy got all 3 rounds of shots including the parvo. She ended up at 13 weeks with the parvo. We are assessing the situation now, and praying to God she makes it. She's been doing better this long and its been well over a week now, so she's got a good chance going for her. I think I'm now going to see if i can't get all individual vaccinations, I don't care how much more it costs, as long as I know my dogs are safe!!! Especially when they have puppies. IP: Logged |
