My German Shepard is allergic to corn and the food I was feeding her, Sencibal Choice lamb and rice, is no longer avaiable to us. Does anyone know of another brand that eould work for her? Price has to be considered since I'm amoung many others unemployed in this country. Thank, Jerry

How about Natures recipe? I know the feeling about trying to find a good qaulity food priced right. They have 2 allergy formulas. A vegetarian and a venison and rice. Petco carries and it is resonably priced compared to the other high end foods. And they always have specials where you get the 10th bag for free.

Natural Balance is sold at Petco, and Blue Buffalo is sold at PetsMart. I'm not sure about pricing, but neither have corn in them. Also check out the Food For Thought thread on this site by doing a search, there are many brands of dog foods listed there, you can weed out the ones with corn and do price comparison on the rest.

My Husky Brute is allergic to something but I am not sure exactly what it is. As soon as I figured he had a food allergy I tried a couple of different foods to try to find one he could eat. I heard that Lamb and Rice was good for food alergies so I picked up Nutro Lamb and Rice. Bingo! He is fine with it! Maybe he could be allergic to corn like yours, I don't know. I do recommend you try it. Good luck!

I just bought a 30# bag of natural balance for 34.99. I forgot but the sensible choice is what I tried last on Jake and he ate it for a week an then all of the sudden refused to eat it. Cant rememeber what I paid for it but I think the natural balance is the same price
