Trike is the sweetest thing on this earth. she wouldnt hurt a fea!! but since i have been back in town i noticed that she has picked up this habit of growling. she has never done that before and i dont know why she has started!! i had some problems with the people who were watching her over the hoildays, so i dont know if that is the reason for this growling thing.

she doesnt growl at me, only the cat, when we are all in bed. what does this mean. it doesnt make any sense, she has never had a problem with the cat before. she dose like to be the only one who gets attention. i dont know she really is the sweetest thing, i just dont want this to turn into something worse, like bitting!!

help me get my baby back to her sweet little self.

thanks for any help.
lotty and her growling pup.

Hmm... Maybe your dog just doesn't feel as secure at home as she had, and doesn't trust anyone or anything but you right now, after reading what happened to your animals, I can kind've see how that could happen!

You said she is only growling at the cat and when you are all in bed. I would say she missed you a whole lot and isn't willing to share you with the cat right now. My Poodle does this...but he has always done it. He will chase the cat out of the room if he is on my lap and the cat is coming in. He doesn't do it very often anymore because he gets in trouble for it. I make him get down and I ignore him when he has done that. When I see him watching the cat and he starts to growl I tell him sharply "NO" if he conrinues he gets put on the floor and I just ignore him.

She's getting jelous. If she's growling at the cat and other animals and not you, thats a sure sign of jelousy. Make sure your giving all animals the equal attention they need, by firmly telling her to "quit" or "no no, bad dog" that should make her quit after a while.

Seeing as how you were gone, I'm sure she missed you terribly and now she wants you all to herself!

THanks to all that replied!!! Trike is use to getting all the attention. i had a one animal house for awhile, and then came jackiepoo. but we have had jack since feb. i guess maybe it was becasue i was gone. i hope so!! i am going to go home today and take her on a long walk, just her and I. and then she is going to get all the loving in the world! poor baby.

(bad habit...i have the hardest time sayying no to her, and give in all the time. my boyfriend says i should never have kids becasue if i spoiled my dog like i do then there is no telling how spoiled my kids will be!!! i am a sucker i know i know it!!! )
