Hello all: Ummmm, vaccinations... I'm saying, i'm not too sure about this "new" PACKED combo vaccine, and it might be a way for the hospital(s) to get more money from it's patience's. But if it's safe, which probably it is (otherwise they would'nt be doing it), would you have your dogs recieve their vaccines this way, in this combo vaccine of DHLPPC?? I think i'm gonna go and get it done (i've called 2 different hospitals that don't do it this way, and said it should be legit & safe) and wait 1 month, to get his other Bordatella & Rabies vaccinations. Even though their all pretty much due now. What do you all think about this; how should i go about getting it all done?? Anyone currently done/doing this w/ their dog(s)?? I'd really like to know your opinions. THANKS SO MUCH [This message has been edited by GoodboysBaddogs (edited 11-28-2003).] IP: Logged |

Hey goodboy, How old is your bully? For my pups I use a DHP and then for my adults I use a DHLPP and I dont use corona (its not as prevelant in my area) Im not too sure how harmful it is to their system. I know whenever you use a modified live virus that it can be harder on their system than a killed virus. If your bully is a pup than you definately want to do it in a series of vaccinations. That way it gives their bodies the oppurtunity to accept it. I have always used combo vaccines and so far have not experienced any problems. However that is what all the vets in my area use, so I may be misled. I think it would be more expensive for your vet to seperate the combo vaccines to single vaccines because each time they charge you an injection fee. Vaxes are actually only bt 2-4 dollars and most vets charge anywhere between 12-15 dollars a pop. Most of that is the injection fee. Hope I answered some of your questions. IP: Logged |
