Ok here they are, pictures of Witt in his first snow ever. I am a rotten photographer, but they aren't too bad. Witt digging Witt heard the camera make a noise... Witt thinks the camera is dangerous and I should put it down. there was a whole series of blurry pics following that one because Witt began barking and jabbing his nose at the camera. I moved to the other side of the fence in an attempt to stay somewhat dry. Witt gets upset and if you look closely you can see his flaps(ears) starting to go up and his face is all crinkled up. His tongue is peeking out, which happens when he gets frustrated. IP: Logged |

Goodboys, Thanks
It doesn't look like this at Christmas =( in fact the snow is already melted all gone! "Witt looks handsome. He's in good condition. What are you feeding & doing for exercise again?" I am feeding him Canidae and about three times a week I give them the Natures Variety raw frozen food. They get raw veggies and fruit as treats plus all the other stuff...like filled Kongs etc. I take Witt with me most everywhere I go, he goes to the barn with me quite a bit and runs around, I take him to the park to play ball with Dooley(which for Witt always means wrestle and chase)and I take him to the park several times a week to chase the laser. He also gets playdates with a couple different friends dogs here and there. I don't have an excersise plan for him, I just make sure he gets some kind of "running the holy terror" out of him everyday. His but and leg muscles are as hard as rock...I wish I could run around like he does and get the same results! "Yeah, i definatly see the Pei in him." "He seems like he could pass for a X-Large 'Flower' (type of Pei that has markings/colors like Witt [combinations]). IYDK (if you did'nt know), trying to start my own terms here...LOL!" The standard says Shar-peis can only come in solid colors, but I saw a post one time from a person asking for a spotted pei and I think she used that term as well. "What's the temperature like when it snows like that?" "Portlands a nice place. I'd love to be doing our exercise (running & hiking & anything that makes us need "freash" air) up there!" I love living here, it makes me sad to see the hillsides and forests disappearing for "progress" though. We do alot of outdoor things and we don't use umbrellas! those are for tourists, LOL! Wow! Witt is a great looking dog! It looks like he is having tons of fun! my aussie used to love it too, although, since we live in Texas, it only snowed 4 or 5 times in her 15 1/2 years of life. She always had fun though, running around and slipping on teh ice, without a leash for once too! IP: Logged |

Maisey, I sent you a note in the topic of choking dogs...look at it..thanks...What a cutie! looks kinda scary, but that's probably a good thing, for safety. After looking at those pics, made me want to start the fire place and get some coa coa. Susan IP: Logged |

Those are great pictures Maisey. We get alot of snow here and Natalie has a blast playing in it. She likes to dunk her head in the higher snow...not sure what exactly she is doning but she reminds me of an ostrich when she does it. LOL. IP: Logged |

Thanks everyone, it's been so much fun having Witt and I love all the "firsts". Susan...do you mean Witt looks kinda scary? If so...can you explain what about him looks scary, people say this to me occasionally, but of course all I see is a wiggly snugglebug. I'm just curious. IP: Logged |

Nern, my friends dog always waits until I have carefully cleaned and filled my horses water buckets, then she dunks her whole head in it, spilling it out all over, I never understood WHY she does this, but she seems to get great joy from doing it and if I screech about it...I swear she gets a kick out of it even more, like it's a game with her and I.
