hi,

my 10 wk old golden retriever pup has quite a few pimples on her bottom near where she pees. i've made quite an effort to make sure the places she lies down on are clean but pimples still keep popping up, some have pus in them. is this something i should be worried about and have her brought to a vet? or do i just have to keep the area clean?

This sometimes happens to my terrier when he is outside in the grass too much. Could be his food that is causing an allergy. You could try cleaning the bumps with a mild soap od dog shampoo. Sulfedine is a dog antiseptic that is sold everywhere. It is like peroxide to humans. Which I have used on my dogs too. If it persists then take him to the vet. But if I was you I would try to address the issue foodwise possibly, before your vet ends up giving you a prescription of some kind. Do you notice if it occurs more outside than inside. It could be some sort of seasonal allergy. Or it could be from too harsh of floor cleaners. Vinegar and water 50-50 is supposed to be good for cleaning floors.
