I feel sorry for the people out here in the areas of Southern California where these nasty fires are burning, and especially for those that lost homes & possibly loved ones. Today around 4:30 i decided to go for our normal beautiful body & lung filling/cleansing freash air hikes & jogs up in the local mountains, or stay home & give the dogs a bath because of the smoke that filled the air from the fires miles away. Anyway, we went, did our thing, & at the time of running & hiking, the terrible smoke filled air actually was'nt bothersome at all. But now, i'm sitting here typing away & my lungs feel like shett!!! I think i did more damage to our lungs than good. What an idiot i am. I can't resist going out for a run, especially when my dogs go crazy for it. They know the days & times we usually go, & they expect it, seriously, like sled dogs--lol! But mann, i'm stupid & paying for it now... Does anyone know what i can do to help my lungs & the lungs of my dogs to get rid of this nasty feeling. It feels like i've been smoking heavily-all-day. I really don't smoke though, S E R I O U S L Y. I can't stand smoking & being around smokers anymore. I love being healthy, & cherish my lungs. I'm just relating this feeling back to my Jr. High & High school days, come-on, you know... right?" "- Anyhow, i'd just wanted to say enjoy your beautiful outdoors & freash air, because it r e a l l y sucks over here! They have to find a way to stop these fires, it's terrible. IP: Logged |

I know what you mean, my throat is sore because of it and I am trying to stay indoors as much as possible. We are on the coastline too. Yesterday the air was much worse. My hubby went out with the dogs and came back smelling like fire. Every car around here has ash covering it. Thankfully they did not make the kids at scholl go outside for p.e. It really is awefull. With people dieing and loosing whole blocks of homes. Lord have mercy. And I hear ya about the school days. IP: Logged |

Just wanted to say how sorry I am for all those people who lost their houses, treasured things, and some of them even their lifes! It is terrible. ... and I was just wondering what happened to all the doggies and kitties these poor people had? Were they all saved? I truly-truly hope so. IP: Logged |

They are setting up animals shelters for these specific animals. Also one for large animals like horses etc. It is not anywhere close to ending. So far to my knowledge at least 17 dead. The poor fire dep. are just so worn out. They have fighting this for a week. ------------------ IP: Logged |
