Hi Paul, so sorry to hear about your guy. I did a search on Cushings disease thinking I might find something on feeding. Two sources said one of the symptoms is increased appetite and thirst so that threw me for a loop. There is a recipe for doggie pudding that is recommended for anemic nursing mother dogs and dogs who refuse to eat, I'll post a link to the recipe for you. There is also a recipe called Satin balls that is for putting weight on dogs, it's on the same site. The web site is a holistic site. I don't know if either of those recipes are condusive to a dog with Cushings...but there they are for you to check out. My thoughts are with you. Maisey PS...After my dog had surgery and was refusing to eat, my vet told me to get a can of Campbells chicken noodle soup (low sodium)and warm it slightly...my dog did eat this and it seemed to whet his appetite for other food. PUDDING RECIPE Mix OR from scratch... mix the following in a saucepan and cook to pudding consistency. 2/3 cup sugar feed with syringe, on spoon, or let eat from bowl. full of protein and nourishment....have never had it cause diarrhea.
