With the topic of premium dog foods and people experiences, I was wondering if anyone has fed their dogs Royal Canin. We are have just switched our pup to Royal Canin Large Breed puppy. He loves it and so far is doing well with it.

Anyone else have any experiences with this brand?

Thanks, Jodi

hey "puttin510",

is that your toy-poodle?
they look cute & happy together.
is the other 1 an aussie?

i want to experiance clipping like "poodle" hair. i want to cut & shape my dogs hair.!?
i think that would be fun.
i wish i had a poodle to do original hair styles on.!?

yeah, jodi!
i've also heard of royal-canin (& i do recall visiting their website) but have not ever tried it, or don't know anyone that has.

I have not used Royal Canin myself, but I know that it was on the Whole Dog Journals Top Food List for 2003.

Their comments were on the "Natural Blend
Adult Formula" of Royal Canin, they said:
"Also includes probiotic and prebiotics. Label states Omega-3 and Omega-6 levels. Meets AAFCO "Nutritional Profiles" standard. According to the label this product meets ISO 9001 certification (an international standard of management quality). On bag we bought, "best used by" date was missing."

Hey Jodi,

I have my toy poodle on Royal Canin Mini. She has been on it for 2 months and is doing great. Her coat is alot softer and shinnier. Her weight is staying normal and healthy. It the best brand I've tried so far.

Hi Goodboy, My poodle is a mini. She weighs in about 11 lbs. Grooming can sometimes be hard, and I just do the regular cuts. Mini's are a bit better around kids than toys and so call teacup. But anything under 10 inches is still a toy. Mine is 11 1/4 inches tall. You know they have grooming contests for people that want to create new cuts. It takes alot of plactise. But if you have one, you can trim it every couple weeks and become a pro if wanted. People are willing to pay a good price for someone that can REALLY groom a poodle well. Once you start grooming your poodle you tend to not want anyone else to do it for fear they will screw up and you will have to see it for the next however months. And you see the dog next to her, we are not sure what he is. His face seems to resemble a wire haired JRT , but the rest of him possibly Border collie. I really don't know.
