Ahhhh.. sounds like my little Timber.. I had some pups I had to feed this way.. Timber had a hard time holding his weight and would teeder and go face first trying to breathe as he ate. Are you feeding them in a bowl?? Try a plate and smooth it out as flat as you can for him.. It will teach him to lick.. another thing that helps is to put something under it so that it props it up for him and he is not face first in food. I usually would put a bowl under a plate of food or else books or somethign like that.. That will help him alot.. It is great that you are doing this.. I know how hard the work is.. feed him separately until he gets the hang of things... Let me know how he does.. I would love to see pics if you have any..

I would take him to the vet ASAP and not wait. You want to make sure there isn't a medical problem causing this. Ask the vet to go over feeding with you.

i took all the pups to the vet today and all are fine he did extra on little bit he said little bits throat didnt devlope right but are devloped he said that when he eats the food gets lodged in his throat so he sneezs to try and get it out and gasps for air because he is being choked he told me the same thing you posted to stack up his bowl so it wouldnt be right in his face to make him stratch out his neck so the food would go down easier he said as time went on that it would get better as he grew but for now he is a special needs puppy and will needed to be watched while eating but i dont mind i have been feeding them sinse they were born u think alittle thing like this is gonna make me give up on them? oh no way in the world....and i have lots of pics of my babies i will post them in another thead for people to view
