Okay here is my problem i have decide to adopt a half english setter and half siberian huskey. I have done a lot of research on both breeds. We are looking into getting him a kennal should we get the large or X-large one for him. The info we have gotten is that he will be between 21 to 30 inches tall.

Hi! First off - are you adopting a puppy or an adult? I have two Siberian Huskies and went through two kennels before I got the one that fit (I got them as puppies and didn't know how big they would get). Right now both my dogs are in a large kennel. The idea is that they will not use the bathroom where they sleep. The trick will be that they have enough room to turn around, stand, and lay down in and not enough room to use the bathroom in a corner of the kennel. If you are getting a pup, I have heard of people getting a large or extra large kennel and parting it off as the puppy grows into it. You don't want the dog to have too much room to use the bathroom in one part of the kennel and sleep in the other. Remember it takes time to kennel train so be patient with your dog. The results are worth it!

He is a puppy and still small. Thats what I was thinking is getting that he will grow into but could block have off for now.

If he is still a pup, it is hard to figure out how big he will get. I went through that and two kennels. You can try a large at first and block it off and if you find it is too small, invest in an extra large. You might start looking at yard sales as that a lot of people are trying to get rid of theirs (i am too!!) Or just start out small and buy as they grow... it is up to you. Like I said... It is just hard to tell as to how big and the fact that you have a mixed breed - I think Setters are bigger than Huskies and as to which one he will take after??? That's a good trivia question!!! Have fun!!
