I JUST BOUGHT A 6 WEEK OLD PUPPY 2 DAYS AGO. BEFORE I BOUGHT THE PUPPY I CHECKED IT OUT TO SEE IF HE WAS IN GOOD HEALTH. HE SEEMED TO BE FINE BUT TODAY MY HUSBAND WAS PLAYING WITH HIM AND HE NOTICED SOMETHING ON HIS STOMACH 1/2 A INCH UNDER HIS PENIS. ITS ABOUT THE SAME SIZE AS A PEA AND ITS FILLED WITH A WHITE/GREENISH COLOR PUSS. WHAT DO I DO AND IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY PUPPY?

Hi, there, sounds like you've got quite a problem! I would get this puppy to the vet right away. Even if the sore turns out to be nothing, it's always a good idea to take a new pet to get checked out right away and to establish your puppy's vaccination schedule. Also, it's usually not advised to take a puppy from its mother before it's 8 weeks old and your vet can help you with any special needs that may arise from separating them too early.

Good luck!

I would also take the pupto the vet, and Alison is right, pups should never be taken from their mom until 8 weeks. It makes me angry the people who offer the pups do this and think it is okay, and the unknowing people who take the pups. I know many cities it is actually illegal to sell them.

Crbm, the reason (I am not real knowledgeable) for waiting to take them from their moms but it has something to do with being weaned, and socialization skills

poor thing, let us know what it is - sounds like maybe an infected bite and what kind of puppy did you get!
