Hi Everyone!

I'm trying to take my 15week old puppy out as much as possible so that she's properly socialized but every time I take her in the car she throws up all over the place

I've tried her in the crate in the back and also just sitting in the front of the car.

Is there such a thing as puppy gravol? Will she grow out of this?

Luckily, my dog loves car rides. However, we are in a training class and a woman there has the same problem.

From what I heard, the trainer said to take the dog for very short trips at first(around the block at the most) and build on that. I guess this acclimates the dog to the car and movemanet. She also said to associate the ride with good things so the pup wants to go for a ride. (Take the pup to a place they'll enjoy, reward them with treats...)

I'm sorry that's not too much advice, but that's all I heard my trainer say.

good luck!

my miniature schnauzer did this when he was a pup. We called our vet, and they can prescribe motion sickness pills, but we didn't do that. what we did, was what lucidity03 was talking about, but first, we got a baby stroller and took him to the park in that (it is about 2 blocks from our house) and after he got used to that, we slowly started moving him to the car, i know the baby stroller thing sounds strange, but it worked for forrest (my dog)!

Thanks for the ideas! I'll try to get her used to the car slowly. In fact, I'll take her to the park right now!
