My 6 year old Black Lab mix shakes like crazy whenever we have a thunderstorm or when she hears any loud noise for that matter. I don't want to give her tranqualizers. Any suggestions? Thank you. IP: Logged |

hi, my dog seems to have that problem to, everytime there is thunder he come running into the house or starts to shake like crazy, all i do is comfort him, i even tried sitting outside during a thunderstorm with him, and when he got scared i would pet him and tell him its ok, he seems to calm down and is getting use to the thunder thing, IP: Logged |

I do the same thing with her. She clings to me until the thunder stops. Her tail is so far under her that you can't even see it. I comfort her the best I can but nothing seems to help. With the summer here now, we are in big trouble. I hope that there aren't too many firecrackers tomorrow. Thank you for replying. IP: Logged |
