Pointer Rescue Organization (www.pointerrescue.org) is seeking foster homes for various (English) Pointers in need! Below is a list of those in need of fostering and time is VERY short for some. If you are interested in fostering a Pointer or would like more information about a specific dog, please e-mail all inquiries to the foster coordinator Kelly at Pakels@aol.com . Even if a dog is not in your immediate area, please be advised that PRO has a transport team that may be able to transport a dog to you up to 1,000 miles, so don't let distance deter your help Thank you, Kelly To view a picture of some of the dogs listed below go to: http://hometown.aol.com/pakels/fosters.html KANSAS (Golden) - 1 year old, orange and white male. Was found as a stray. He is good with kids and other dogs. Great house dog and crate trained, VERY gentle in all aspects. A little shy, but loving and playful. He is up to date on shots and heartworm negative. NEW JERSEY (Furbie) - 10 year old, black and white female. Surrendered to the shelter by her owners because they were moving. She has had basic obedience, is good with kids, and is an all around sweet dog. WILL BE PTS SOON. MISSOURI (Bobby) - 1 ½ year old, liver and white male. Found as a stray by the local animal control and was never claimed. He is good with kids, however he can be ruff with other animals. He is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. WILL BE PTS ON 6/30/03. KANSAS (Josephine) - 2 year old, liver and white female. She came into the shelter as a stray. She is good with kids and other dogs. A very friendly and active girl. She does like to dig out of the yard. WILL BE PTS ON 7/01/03. VIRGINIA (Happy) - 1 to 2 year old, black and white male. Up to date on shots and heartworm negative. Good with other dogs and cats, gentle but high energy (acts like a puppy). He is possessive of his food. OHIO (Spice) - 8 month old, lemon and white female, spayed, fully vaccinated and HW negative. KENTUCKY (Wilson) - 3 year old, lemon and white male, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. He is good around cats and dogs. MISSOURI (Kris) - 3 year old, liver and white female, good with kids, other dogs, has been hunted over, but gun-shy, fully vaccinated MISSOURI (Bubba) - 2 year old, lemon and white male, fully vaccinated, HW negative, has started to learn house manners, will benefit from basic obedience NEBRASKA (Lexie) - 1 ½ year old, liver and white female, fully vaccinated, HW negative, escape artist, needs physical containment or e-fence, good with other dogs, kids and cats Kelly pakels @ aol.com (remove spaces) IP: Logged |
