I know this is a dog board, but I wanted to share something. Not only was my beloved beautiful baby boy cat shot in march, but Friday on my way to school me and my sister along with my mother saw something orange in the road. It turned out to be our gorgeous tiger stipe. He was just laying there dead. Some fool ran over him! If I'd been there when it happened I would knock their teeth out. I just wanted to let you know what happened. I miss him so much! IP: Logged |

Not very sure. He is a very mean man. We have only lived here for a little over a year. Some day when I get the courage I'll try to let you see a pic of them. For now you can look at Oliver's memorial page my sister made. www.geocities.com/oliversmemorial =) RIP ollie + Murph muffin (their nick names) IP: Logged |

i don't mean to sound heartless, i love all animals, but i don't think cats should be allowed to roam any more than dogs. your taking a chance on just this kind of situation everytime your cat leaves your yard. i've found our neighbors cats in our garage, on our patio (my yard is fenced in), on our car, just to mention a few places... they come right up to our front door and calmly sit there while my dogs go nuts on the other side! my point is that for some reason people feel they can just open the door and let a cat go out and expect nothing bad to happen to them. i've heard some cat fights where i'm surprised that either cat survived, not to mention the chance of running into an anti-cat lover dog. I'm very sorry for your loss, i really am. but an animal that is close to the road or trying to cross the road is very likely at one point or another to get hit by a car, i doubt the person who hit your pet did it intentionally. I hope once your feeling better and you decide to get another cat for a pet, do both of you a favor. keep your pet inside where its safe or at least get it used to only going out with your supervision, on a leash is necessary. you may feel silly "walking" a cat but at least you'll know your pet will be with you the next day.
