I have a five-month-old toy poodle. My husband discovered this toy. It is an empty plastic gallon milk container--one with a handle. Our puppy plays and plays with it. It can carry it with the handle, push it around the floor and make lots of noise with it. It probably wouldn't work with a larger dog because it would tear it to shreds, but it is great for a toy size. Not only has the puppy had fun, we have laughed and laughed at its play.

Another one is tying about 3 old socks together and playing tug of war, my dogs love it.

I have two large dogs, they love to play with 2 liter bottles, they will last a week sometimes two. One gets it and plays keep away from the other. They have a blast. The other thing they go nuts over, we found at the Dollar tree store for ..of course $1. At Easter time they had big plastic eggs, like for outdoor display or something...the dogs push these things all over the house and yard, bay at them bark, growl and carry on. They love them, but have a hard time getting a hold of it, so it keeps them busy.

My mom's Yorkie loves tops. Like any good sized top that could come from assortment of things.
