I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT PUPPIES OR REALLY DOGS IN GENERAL. HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOUR PUPPY IS JUST VERY ENERGTIC AND LOVES TO BITE AND GRAWL, OR IS A MEAN PUPPY,WHICH WHEN HE BECOMES OLDER WILL BE A VERY MEAN DOG AND HAVE TO BE PUT TO SLEEP. THE REASON WHY I ASK IS BECAUSE ONE OF MY PUPPIES IS ALWAYS BITING AND GRAWLING AND WANTS TO FIGHT ALL THE TIME. AND MY FRIEND SAID THAT IF HE KEPT IT UP HE WOULD BECOME A MEAN DOG AND BE PUT TO SLEEP! BUT I JUST THINK HE'S BEING A PUPPY, BUT I'M NOT A HUNDRED PERCENT BECAUSE I'VE NEVER OWNED A DOG BEFORE. SO IF ANYONE HAS HAD AN EXPERIENCE OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS PLEASE LET ME KNOW! THANKS

My dog, 6 month old ped-a-poo is playful in doing this. I still make her stop, because I do not want to teach her that in any way.

I don't know why they like to playfully or otherwise bite. I know my Sugar is just being playful for she is so gentle about it, but I sometimes wonder what it means.

I'm sorry I'm not help at all.

Is this puppy biting and growling at people or just at other puppies? How old is this puppy?

my 5 month old does the same thing he loves to growl and bite when he plays you just need to tell him no in a very stern voice if he's biting you. and eventually he will get it not to bite people. does he have a bone to chew on because puppy's have sore gums just like a teething baby would. that could be why he's biting

just look for basic signs, wagging tail, panting, stopping to take a break now and then. My dogs wrestle all the time and the only real way to tell if they are fighting or playing is watching the tail to see if its wagging. checking for injuries is another thing, if the dog is injured more than once then assume it is fighting and immidiately train them not to, but if the dogs are uninjured I wouldnt worry too much. If a dog wants to hurt another dog, it will.
