I am looking for a siberian husky for free or around $50 to $100 I have been looking for one for about 3 or 4 months and I do not want to drive ( well my parents) out of Alabama... It would not matter, boy or girl, just a puppy around 5 in a half weeks to 6 weeks old. Please I have been worn out trying to look for one. IP: Logged |

Have you tried looking to adopt a dog from local humane shelters? You might not find a purebred siberian husky but you might find a mix that needs a good home. You should also look up www.petfinder.com If you are looking for breeders they will not sell purebreds for such a low price. Reason being, a proper breeder puts a lot of time and money into their dogs and screens for health tests. This is extremely important to increase your chances of buying a healthy pup. Remember the initial cost of a dog is not much compared to the vet bills, feeding, toys, leashes, bedding etc... you, or rather, your parents will be paying for even just the first year. Why do you want such a young pup? A good breeder will not sell their pups 5 & 1/2 - 6 weeks old, and it is not advisable to buy one that young. Pups are still learning valuable lessons and behaviors from their mother and siblings at this age. It's advisable to wait until the pup is 8 weeks old. IP: Logged |

Actually I just checked www.petfinder.com dogs in AL and their are a number of Huskys and mixes ranging from baby to adult needing homes. I really hope you can take a look and save one of these sweet faces. IP: Logged |

You should go through a Husky rescue. Lots of Huskies need homes. Make sure a Husky is what you want by reading up on the breed. Yes, they are beautiful dogs but they are definately not a breed for everyone. You should have at least a six foot fence because they are also escape artists. They love to dig and also shed heavily at least twice a year. They are very stubborn and can be hard to train. I have two Huskies and I love my dogs very much but they can be quite the handful. They also need lots and lots of exercise and if they don't get it they are very destructive. Please read up on this breed because sometimes people get dogs and don't know what they are getting into. I worked a little with Husky rescue and have seen it. This is definately not the breed for everyone. IP: Logged |
