Doc,
I'd written previously requesting tea recipe for our pup dx'd with parvo. Your advice was to follow our vets advice/orders. Touch wood! - I'm happy to be able to say that our pup is on the mend. It's been a battle, but -- finally --he's eating. He's still refusing dog food given to us by vet; he ate some chicken noodle soup today. The poor little fella has lost weight, but it'll come back. He's up, wagging his tail and following us everywhere. We have decided that we'll know he's 100% well when he barks. Also wonder why we ever complained about his barking at night -- right now it'd be music to us! Thank you again!

I am very happy to hear good news (touching wood again) might want to buy some cottage cheese and give just a tid bit to him..to help him back to eating normal..(use the small curd low fat ok talk to you soon

For those of you that have written in the other post on parvo..The ones that are sick right now you need to see your VET..That is always first on the list..Because number 1 it may not be parvo..and second pups dehydrate very quickly..even if you have to wait till morning, I keep pedialyte for children on hand..just to make sure they get something, in droppers to keep them hydrated till you get to vet..and a lil pepsi wont hurt them either (pepsi has the caffeine in it, which stimulates the brain to which that part of it shuts down (this is why they will not eat or drink) the sugar in pepsi will cause them to want to eat...as far as the other item I use right out of my cupboard it all depends on the weight of the dog at so forth..BUT first remember you HAVE TO SEE A vet like I said before its WHEN all else fails.
