My female dog seems to keep assuming the male mating position on my other female dog. This is very disturbing to me. Is this normal behavior? IP: Logged |

If she is in heat, she is showing sexual dominance/behavior. If she is spayed, then its simply dominance. Yes it is common in female dogs. Dominant Females will also lift their leg to pee ![]() IP: Logged |

My spayed female does this to both male and female dogs. < My girl does this too! LOL...I had never before seen a female dog lift her leg. IP: Logged |

I had a female Beagle, she only did this when she had an infection, when that was cleared up she would stop. She lived to be 23 and finally dies of kidney failure. The older she got the more frequently the infections occured, but they were never severe, easily cleared up and if it weren't for her doing "that" I wouldn't have known she had one, it was like a signal. LOL she mostly did it to the cat. IP: Logged |
