I have a 5 year old German Shepherd dog recently diagnosed with Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the urethra. I would like to hear from anyone who has had a dog with this. The vets say there is no treatment. He is given Piroxicam which is palliative only. His has urinary frequency and slight hematuria at times. He is a beloved pet. IP: Logged |

I am so sorry to hear this bad news. I don't have an answer for you as I haven't heard of this term before, but best of luck and I hope your dog will be okay. Hopefully there is medication that can help your doggy. Best of luck IP: Logged |
