It is not uncommen for a puppy to do this. When she goes potty, pick it up and get rid of it.If you catch her eating it tell her NO and get her away from it.You just have to work with her on it....Good luck to you and you sweet baby. IP: Logged |

If you are finding it very difficult to train her on your own. I suggest you look into basic obedience. Take a class or two, should help you better understand how your dog is thinking because it is NOTHING like how us Humans think You could also read some books about the breed or just basic puppy training books. Good luck! IP: Logged |

swankmca.. you can buy a dettering aid in either tablet or powder form.. the tablets are fed to the dog and the powder is sprinkled onto the food.. the products are supposed to deter the puppy from eating their poo by making it smell/taste unpleasant to the pup.. these products are available at pet superstores everywhere.. i hope this helps IP: Logged |

None of those "miracle" product work to stop this behavior. Sure they work for some dogs but I know people who have tried everything, pills, powders, natural deterents, certain foods and NOTHING worked. Its just a thing dogs do. SOme grow out of it some dont. The only sure thing to do is pick up RIGHT AWAY after the dog poops and scan the yard before you let the dog out. IP: Logged |

very simple here...dogs, or any animal for that matter, eat their feeces because it has not been completley broken down and absorbed into the system. The dog is eating his feeces because its not had enouph nourishment. Try feeding more, switching foods or having the vet check out why. IP: Logged |
