Hi everyone, I will be getting a Schnoodle puppy at the end of May. Can't wait. The mother is a purebred Schnoodle and the father is a purebred Poodle. I've seen them both. My last dog was a Cockapoo. How are these two dogs going to differ, if at all. I'd love to hear from some Schnoodle owners out there :-) IP: Logged |

I am not a schnoodle owner, I have a poodle. My mother in law has a schnauzer. He is very smart, so are poodles. So all I can say is you are more than likely going to have a smart pooch. I too used to have a cocker-poo as I was growing up, coolest dog I had known. Named my current terrier after him. Have fun IP: Logged |

Well, as you can tell from my first post, it is a Schnauzer and Poodle cross. Hopefully it'll turn out to look somewhat like "Benji", as some do. There are tons of websites all about them. IP: Logged |

Hello, I am quite familiar with the schnoodle breed. There is no such thing as a purebred schnoodle. A schnoodle is bred with a purebred schnauzer and a purebred poodle..which gives you a schnoodle. I'm not sure what the ramifications are when you breed a schnoodle with a poodle. From my research with this breed there might be some problems heathwise. Check with a local vet to make sure those two breeds mating won't create a problem later. GOOD LUCK! IP: Logged |

I do know schnauzers tend to get seborrea type of skin problems. My MIL'S schnauzer knows which xmas stocking is his and begs for it. Have you got your pup yet? ------------------ IP: Logged |
