WE HAD A LITTER OF 12 PUPPIES BORN LAST WEDNESDAY AND NOTICED ONE OF THEM WAS COLD, FLAT AND WEAK. WE TOOK HIM AND STARTED BOTTLE FEEDING HIM UNTIL HE GOT STRONGER AND NOW HE HAS BEEN NURSING ON HIS MOM WELL. THIS MORNING MY HUSBAND NOTICED THAT HIS BELLY WAS FULL BUT HE'S JUST LYING AROUND CRYING AND YELPING NON STOP! ANY SUGGESTION, HE'S BEEN CRYING FOR OVER AN HIUR NOW. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

It could be many thing that is making him cry.I suggest you take the baby to the vet.

I know one of my sons used to eat to much as a baby. He was colicy and he cried and cried. I did not know if it was because he was hungry or not becuase he would take a bottle then more crying. So is there a doggy vrsion of colic. I would take the put to the vet.

Has the pup had any stool movements? Any urination?? If he is crying, and bloated, there may be a possible gastrointestinal problem.....just a thought. But, like the others, if the answer is no, and because they should, I would take them for a vet check. God bless.

Sounds like the pup need to go pee or poo.

The mother makes the puppies go to the washroom so you might want to try rubbing with a soft warm cloth. Rub very gently back and forth until the dog pees, then try on getting it to poo. Puupies can't do this on their own. The mother does it for them for the first couple of weeks.

When my cat died after giving birth we had to do each kitten every half hour

Good luck..if that doesn't help, I'd get it to the vet ASAP.

Very often toy breeds and tiny puppies will exhibit the same faint weakness that is actually associated with low blood sugar. Try giving such small pups some sugar water or water with honey mixed in or let them lick the honey right off the spoon. I have seen this trick almost bring a puppy back from death's door several times!! Michael in Texas
