Try looking for an emergency clinic thats open 7 days 24 hours. They are spendy, but better than yanking it with pliers, you could damage her mouth permanently and cause infection. I do not reccomend doing that. At the very leaste call them and ask if clove oil is okay to apply to it. You could also put some numbing gel on it. You will find that in a grocery store near the toothpastes or in the baby section. Did you say it is bleeding alot? Are you pulling on it? and thats what is causing the bleeding or???

I am confused as to why it is bleeding actively..and I still do not reccomend pulling it, I have been down that road, cost me alot of money.

Why don't you talk to your parents in regards to this issue? Other thing I do not quite understand is, please correct me if I am wrong, I know that it is expesive to raise dogs and with you having large breeds, which is very costly. Then when the dog is sick and in need of a vet "Person seems to not have a special account for this" Dogs get sick or they can be injured...You are talking about yanking this tooth out with all the bleeding that the dog is having..
I hope you contact a vet soon, good luck!

I would be more inclined to believe that the cost is related to the procedure and anesthetic, and has little to do with the dog being "protective". Vets are experienced working with animals in pain. The larger the dog, the more anesthetic is needed to sedate the dog. Thats why altering dogs is based on weight. I am still confused as to why your pups mouth would be "bleeding badly". You didn't say this was an injury, and I have not known a tooth growing in wrong or at a wrong angle to cause alot of bleeding. In fact my cat has one growing out below all her other teeth right now, it's not bleeding at all. Of course I have not seen it all, and I am not a vet, I am just not understanding completely your description of what is going on. Perhaps another vet, check around. I still do not recommend you pull it with pliers, there are sooo many reasons NOT to do this. Just my personal take on your description of the situation. Best wishes for your pup.

definitely don't pull that tooth!
by pulling the tooth with "dirty" pliers and not using sterile technique the dog will get an infection.. treating the infection may very well end up costing a lot more than $500.. figure in the thousands for correcting damage and treating infection!
please take it to a vet.. please don't treat your dog yourself!

Just a thought......a new permanent tooth was coming in??????? This is a normal process, they bleed, seems like a lot if animal is pawing it, and it falls out on it's own. If this tooth was a "late-bloomer" shall we say....sounds like it...anyhow, doggie is fine. Try putting a few bucks away each week, so when a vet visit is called for, you have edged better toward the bill! God bless.
