Try to let the dog out 15 mins after you feed it, go out side with it and wait till it pees, then praise it while it is peeing. You must be consistant with this, then the dog will know it makes you happy when he pees outside.

You also have to catch your dog in the action of peeing inside, for it to relate your displeasure with his peeing inside.
A loud scolding and grumble is usually enough, he should look ashamed when you give him a scolding, don't hit or rub the dogs nose in the pee. A mild scolding to make it feel stupid should be enough.

But the 1st option is always the best method, help your dog be successful so you can praise it will always work the best, in most cases.
