Hey everybody! Im Hannah, 13 and have a West Highland Terrier pup called Millie. When she gets excited or sumthing she does wees! Its real annoying cuz sometimes she does it inside too and mum makes me clean it up. Is this normal for a puppy or should we do something? Thanx, Hannah

Hi Hannah, great name you have my grand-daughter name is Hannah also..shes 2..but you little pup, sometimes puppies just do that when they are happy or being submissive..so that you dont have so much mess since you have to clean it up...find some little underware..kids underware and have her wear em ) That is what I did to my pup now that is 5 months old..it stopped him.
Good Luck
Doc~

This is called submissive urination. It very common in puppies but they usually grow out of it. Never punish her for this behavior because that will only make it worse. There are a few things you can do such as avoiding making a big fuss over her when you first enter the house after being gone and trying to build her confidence by letting her be dominent a bit during play sessions.
